At tutoring sessions with each student we should ask him whether he really and eagerly wishes to improve and learn. 

The student always will say Yes, I want to improve. 

Now, between you teacher and the student can specify how he’s going to improve. Often, just with dedicating a longer time and his effort, he will improve his grades.
