2176. We can recall our best teachers

A teacher may have “potestas” and also “auctoritas”.

He may have gained his students because of a moral authority (“auctoritas”): he tries to work well, he’s polite, he knows how to listen to his students, he tries to carry out his labor in a correct way, he dresses properly.

Likely he’ll have fewer discipline problems because of this authority.

He also knows when to smile, he meets his students on the street and has the correct answer to their thirst of authenticity, which is usual when the students are teens.

“Potestas” is how to apply some punishment, class management, discipline, when to clap a correct answer by a student... / Photo from: www topeducationdegrees org
